From the beginning of this year VIP has put a lot of effort into promotional activities toward the automotive supply industry sector, in which the previously elaborated strategy recognized a great development potential of Vojvodina. The arrival of this company is a confirmation of the strategy goals and a very important event, especially heaving in made the reputable companies which IG Bauerhin supplies: Audi, BMW, DC, Fiat, Ford, GM, Hyundai, KIA, Opel, Porsche, Renault, Saab, Skoda, Smart, Volvo, VW, Rolls Royce, Maybach, Maserati, Lamborghini. Bauerhin has a staff of approximately 2.000 people worldwide. Beside Germany, production locations are in Canada, Mexico, Korea, Slovenia and the Tszech Republic, and as of September this year the production started in Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia.

Beside our country the investor was considering the investment possibilities in Bulgaria and Romania, but mainly because of the professional support in the orientation phase, they decided to start the production in Vojvodina.

In our country the investor considered six municipalities in Vojvodina, which satisfied the criteria determined by the enquiry (Beocin, Srbobran, Indjija, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Novi Becej). After a detailed tour of locations the investor decided to invest in the Municipality of Indjija. As the crucial factor for this decision the investor pointed out that the location itself, as well as the Municipality of Indjija, is very near to the capital of Serbia – Belgrade, and therewith near to the highway and airport. The effective administration of the Municipality of Indjija cooperated with the investor in order to ease the start of production.

The production value stands at €1.8 million, and the expected turnover is €580,000, whereas the expected turnover in the second year is €3.7 million and €7.5 million in 2009.

In the first phase 300 workers will be employed, out of which 280 in production. The employed labor force comes mostly from the textile industry. The production will kick off with seat heating. And if the results are satisfactory, the company will also relocate its sensor production line to Indjija. Overall over 500 workers in the next 5 years should be employed. The complete production process will be realized according to the quality standards for environmental protection.

Beside Mr. Bojan Pajtic present at today’s event were Mr. Josef Hilmer, President of the company IG Bauerhin and Mr. Goran Jesic, President of the Municipality of Indjija.

The VIP will continue its work on the promotion of investment potential of Vojvodina, especially on the promotion of automotive supply industry sector, which is expected to provide further investments.
